The Los Angeles Lakers were able to pick up their fourth straight win. In the game, Isaiah Thomas had his best performance as a Laker.
Since the All-Star break, the Los Angeles Lakers have been playing some very good basketball. With the return of Lonzo Ball, the Lakers have certainly found their groove. However, the recent loss of Josh Hart will eventually be noticed.
On Thursday night, the Lakers were able to win their fourth straight game with a victory over the Miami Heat. While the first three wins out of the All-Star break were against some of the worst teams in the NBA, the win against Miami was certainly against the best team that they have seen since the break.
Against the Heat, the Lakers’ offense had one of their best nights of the season. With Hart out, Lonzo Ball returned to the lineup and played very well in his first start since coming back from injury.
With Ball on the bench, the second unit for the Lakers was deadly with him Kyle Kuzma and Isaiah Thomas. Since the Lakers recently reached an agreement with Corey Brewer on a contract buyout, Luke Walton went with an eight-man rotation.
Thomas once again came off the bench for the Lakers, and he had arguably his best game of the season, and certainly his best as a Laker. In the win, Thomas totaled 29 points, six assists, and four rebounds. For the first time this season, Thomas truly looked like the player that we saw with the Celtics last season, as he looks to be getting healthier.
In his great game, Thomas was very efficient from the field, as he went 11-for-20 overall and 6-for-11 from three-point range. In his last four games, Thomas has totaled in double-figures in each of them, with Thursday night being his best game.

With Lonzo being back in the starting lineup, Thomas is now going to be carrying a heavy load for the second unit. However, if Thursday was any indication, he should have no problem with that.
