March 26th – Lakers @ Pistons (L, 112-106)

15 points, 7/8 FGs, 11 assists (2 turnovers), 8 rebounds, 2 steals

At number 5 on the list is Lonzo’s game towards the end of the season against the Detroit Pistons. It was Lonzo’s most efficient scoring night of the season as he shot 87.5 percent from the field. He also flirted with a triple-double, coming up short with 15/11/8. He also contributed to his 1.7 steals per game with 2 during the game.

He was hitting mid-range shots all game (an area he struggled from) and was arguably the best Laker on the court, posting the best +/- of the starters. Sadly, the Lakers were starting to be hampered by injuries, only playing nine guys with Brandon Ingram and Isaiah Thomas both out. It caused the Lakers to get very tired towards the end of the game, causing them to ultimately lose. Lonzo and the boys put forth their best effort, but it wasn’t enough.

This would end up being Lonzo’s second-to-last game of the season, as he left the next game with the knee injury that kept him out the rest of the way.
