January 11th Spurs @ Lakers (W, 93-81)

18 points, 7/11 FGs (4/7 3-point FGs), 10 rebounds (6 Offensive), 6 assists, 4 steals

For number 4, we go back to January 11th when the Lakers beat the San Antonio Spurs in a defensive battle. This game is again one of Lonzo’s few great scoring nights, shooting 57.1 percent from 3-point land. Lonzo was also doing the usual of stuffing the stat sheet, snagging 10 rebounds, dishing 6 assists, and showing off his defensive prowess with 4 steals.

This was Lonzo’s third game back from a six-game absence where the Lakers went 0-6. It was the 3rd straight win of an eventual four-game winning streak, which was their longest of the season at the time.

It became apparent at this time that even though Lonzo hadn’t shot well all season, he could still affect the outcome of the game in many ways. However, when he shoots well and plays stifling defense, well then he posts a +17 and helps hold the playoff-bound Spurs to 81 points.
