Los Angeles Lakers: Kyle Kuzma tweets poll about Lonzo Ball and rapper Nas
Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma took to Twitter recently to do some trolling of his teammate and friend, Lonzo Ball.
Los Angeles Lakers rookies Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma have quickly become very good friends. Their antics can sometimes be followed along on different social media outlets.
Most recently, the two were having some fun on Twitter, as Kuzma was cracking jokes at Ball’s expense.
If you don’t pay attention to the Hip-Hop/Rap world, Kanye West has recently reactivated his Twitter and has been unleashing tweets left and right. Part of the tweets teased his future solo album and other albums that he’s producing for people.
One of these albums was rapper Nas’s album, which Kanye said was coming out June 15th. Kyle Kuzma decided to have some fun with this bit of news, and tweet out a poll regarding Lonzo Ball and Nas.
You may think this is random, but Lonzo and Nas have a bit of a history. It all stemmed from when Lonzo had this to say regarding Nas and the current state of hip/hop.
"“Don’t nobody listen to Nas no more. Real hip-hop is Migos, Future.”"
Lonzo said this on an episode of his family’s Facebook reality show, “Ball in the Family”. It was met with some eye-rolling from many Hip-Hop fans, as Nas is widely looked at as one of the best rappers of all-time.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, though, I myself am a big fan of the Migos and Future. Would I claim they are “real hip-hop” compared to Nas? Probably not.
Lonzo and Nas Passive Aggressively Jab Each Other
Lonzo though, doubled down on his statement while wearing this hoodie to a game in New York against the Knicks in December.

You can debate Nas’s placement within the top rappers of all-time, but Illmatic is considered by many rap fans as the best Hip-Hop album of all-time. Lonzo appeared to show a bit of disrespect to it by putting his face on the album cover where Nas’s face originally was.
Coincidentally (or, on purpose) this was when the Lakers were visiting New York, Nas’s hometown. Nas responded after the Lakers lost 113-109 in OT with this Instagram.
Another instance where this is probably not a coincidence.
Lonzo is among the few NBA players who have a mini-career as a rapper (Damian Lillard a.k.a Dame Dolla comes to mind). Kuzma, who loves to mess with Lonzo, has seemed to set the stage for ‘Zo to step up and release an album to compete with Nas’s first album in a long time.
Would he beat Nas in sales and/or critical acclaim?

No, probably not. But judging from Kuzma’s twitter poll, the American people want to see the two compete! Maybe we will get lucky and Lonzo will give the people what they want.
