The Los Angeles Lakers held their third six-player workout this week, headlined by local product and USC forward, Chimezie Metu.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been busy at work preparing for the 2018 NBA Draft. Los Angeles owns the No. 25 and No. 47 overall picks in the draft. They will be looking to add to their talented young core that already includes Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart and Julius Randle if he is re-signed.

The Lakers have already been putting work into the evaluation process. Despite the NBA Draft Lottery not being held until May 15th and the NBA Combine being held the following five days, Los Angeles has already been scouting prospects.

In the past week, the Lakers have held two workouts, with six players attending each one. The first workout was headlined by Wisconsin center, Ethan Happ. The second workout held had more recognizable players, led by Big 10 Player of the Year, Ohio State forward, Keita Bates-Diop.

Now, the Lakers are holding their third workout of the pre-draft process. This one was headlined by homegrown talent and USC forward, Chimezie Metu. In addition to Metu, the Lakers also worked out Nevada forward Cody Martin, whose twin brother, Caleb, was a part of the second workout.

The final four players that took part were DJ Hogg of Texas A&M, Shake Milton of SMU, Allonzo Trier of Arizona and Lindell Wigginton of Iowa State.

Of the three groups that have worked out so far in El Segundo, this is probably the most talented grouping. There is talent that people recognize from the PAC-12 and from teams in postseason tournaments.

What are the chances that the Lakers select any of the players from this group? What are their strengths and weaknesses? We take a deeper dive into the most recent workout group hosted by the Lakers.
