Los Angeles Lakers hosting fourth six-prospect pre-draft workout
The Los Angeles Lakers are hosting their fourth group of prospects for a pre-draft workout Monday morning.
The Los Angeles Lakers are returning home after spending the last week in Chicago at the 2018 NBA Draft Combine. The Lakers are returning back to the UCLA Health Training Center and are wasting no time in getting back to work.
After watching more than 60 prospects showcase their talents in Chicago, the Lakers are ready to get a closer work at some players. Monday will mark the fourth six-player, pre-draft workout that the Lakers will be holding.
These workouts have seen many different players showcase their talents in front of Magic Johnson, Rob Pelinka, Luke Walton and even some Lakers players. The first workout was headline by Wisconsin does it all center, Ethan Happ. The second workout focused on defense according to the players that attended. The third workout had a local talent, Lawndale native and USC forward, Chimezie Metu.
This fourth workout will have a little bit of everything. There will be two forwards, two point guards and two centers taking part.
The two forwards participating are Jordan Barnett of Missouri and Jordan Caroline of Nevada. In the backcourt, St. John’s point guard Shamorie Ponds and Arkansas shooting guard, Daryl Macon, will be battling it out. Up front, St. Mary’s center Jock Landale and Drew Eubanks of Oregon State will be facing off.

There will be a lot of talent that this workout like the previous three. Will any of these players end up on the Lakers with the No. 25 or 47th overall picks? Or could they be added to the roster as undrafted players for the summer?
We will have to wait and see! Until then, let’s take a more in-depth look at the prospects that will be participating in the workout later today.
