Julius Randle of the Los Angeles Lakers is one of the top free agents this offseason. Recently, the Dallas Mavericks were named a realistic fit for him.

The Los Angeles Lakers have a huge offseason coming up for them with the ability to be players for some of the top free agents in this class. However, while they are pursuing players like LeBron James and Paul George, they have one of the top free agents in this year’s class already on the team in Julius Randle.

After a great season as a starter for the Lakers, Randle has emerged as one of the top free agents this offseason. However, as a restricted free agent, the Lakers will have a final say on what happens with Randle.

Although, if they are able to sign both LeBron James and Paul George, they will likely be fine with letting Randle walk. At just 23-years-old, Randle will be one of the most appealing players in free agency, as he is coming off a career-year.

While Randle will likely have multiple suitors in free agency, Bleacher Report recently named the Dallas Mavericks as a realistic destination for Randle.

The Mavericks have fallen on some tough years since winning their championship, as Dirk Nowitzki heads toward the end of his career. Like the Lakers, the Mavericks were unable to bring in the elite free agents in recent years.

Since the departure of Tyson Chandler, the Mavericks have had a major hole at the center position, and they will be trying to address that this offseason. With players like Randle and DeMarcus Cousins being free agents, the Mavericks will have a good opportunity to address this.

Considering that the Mavericks are rebuilding and trying to get younger, going after Randle makes a lot of sense for them. Adding Randle to play alongside Dennis Smith Jr. and Harrison Barnes would be a solid young trio for the Mavericks to build off of.
