The Los Angeles Lakers will have some options during the 2018 NBA draft, especially at the guard position being deep this year.

The Los Angeles Lakers currently have the 25th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft stemming from a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers during the season. They also have the No. 47 overall pick in the second round.

Los Angeles will have a lot of options available to their disposal with the draft being deep this year. The Lakers can go a multitude of ways, but going with a player at the guard position may be the way to go.

Right now, the Lakers only have Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart and Tyler Ennis under contract on the roster for next season. You can say the guard spot is a definite need so that the Lakers can have depth at that position.

The question is, do the Lakers go for a point guard, a shooting guard or a guard who is more versatile and can play both guard spots? Given the versatility of the guards on the roster, they could consider a guard with a specific talent, such as a 3-point specialist.

Here are five guards that the Lakers should consider in the upcoming NBA Draft who most likely will be available at the 25th spot in the draft.
