The Los Angeles Lakers continue their 2018 NBA Draft evaluations with six more players participating in pre-draft workouts.

The Los Angeles Lakers are working diligently preparing for the 2018 NBA Draft. The draft is quickly approaching and the Lakers have been hosting a number of prospects for workouts, trying to find the newest addition to the purple and gold.

With the holiday weekend behind us, the Lakers have gotten back to work on workouts. Earlier this week the Lakers held a very intriguing workout. LiAngelo Ball, the younger brother of point guard Lonzo Ball, partook in a six-man workout. LaVar Ball won’t be happy about this, but the Lakers are unlikely to add LiAngelo to the roster in any capacity after seeing him workout.

Now, the Lakers will be hosting another six draft hopefuls. This is another strong workout group, as a majority of the players participating should be drafted and there are some recognizable names.

Kansas will have two players participating. Point guard Devonte Graham and center Billy Preston will be taking part. Preston enrolled at Kansas but never played there. Three more guards, Wichita State point guard Landry Shamet, Georgia Tech guard Josh Okogie and Tony Carr of Penn State, will be participating. Gonzaga forward Johnathan Williams is the sixth and final player taking part.

With the date for prospects to remove themselves from the draft expiring May 30th, these workouts become even more important. These guys are going to be competing for a chance to move up draft boards. The time for feeling out the waters is over as anyone taking part now is committed to their future.

These are six players who all have a chance to be drafted and signed for Summer League action. Let’s take a deeper look at the six prospects working out for the Lakers today.
