The Los Angeles Lakers will have plenty of options with the 25th overall pick. Here are three reasons why they should draft Donte DiVincenzo.

Thanks to a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers during the regular season, the Los Angeles Lakers were able to get a pick in the first round. Since their pick was not in their control this season, this was a goal of the front office, and they were able to accomplish at the NBA Trade Deadline.

In recent years, the Lakers have done a very nice job when it comes to scouting for the NBA Draft, especially in the later part of the first round. Finding players that can contribute in this part of the draft can make a huge difference for the franchise, and the Lakers are doing a good job of that lately.

After drafting Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart at the end of the first round last year, they will be looking to do the same this season with the 25th overall pick. Both Hart and Kuzma look like they will be staples in the rotation for years to come, and the Lakers will have a chance to add to the solid young core they have been building.

One player that is an appealing prospect is Hart’s former teammate Donte DiVincenzo. After a great game against Michigan in the NCAA Championship Game, DiVincenzo’s NBA stock rose. Now, he will likely be a first-round pick, and could be an option for the Lakers at 25. As a talented young guard, here are three reasons why the Lakers should draft him with the 25th overall pick.
