Isaiah Thomas is having fun in the offseason roasting his former Cavs team while on Jimmy Kimmel’s show.

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Isaiah Thomas is having a little fun in his first early offseason having missed the playoffs for the first time since his 2013-14 campaign with the Sacramento Kings.

The soon-to-be free agent took to the set of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Monday competing in Kimmel’s NBA edition of “Generation Gap,” a battle where Senior and Junior face off in a pop culture pop quiz.

Thomas’s opponent? None other than Detroit Pistons Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas.

After falling to a 50-0 hole at the 6:50 minute mark, the Lakers’ “Isaiah Thomas 2” as distinguished by Kimmel said, “I’m like the Cavs, I’m going to get swept.”

The Cleveland Cavaliers traded for Thomas in the 2017 offseason after a successful 2.5-season stint with the Boston Celtics. They shipped a disgruntled Kyrie Irving off to Boston and in return also received Jae CrowderAnte Zizic and the Brooklyn Nets’ 2018 first-round pick as supplementary pieces in the deal. That picked ended up landing at No. 8 overall in the 2018 NBA Draft Lottery,

Cleveland took a risk on Thomas as he had been plagued by a hip injury from last season. That risk did not pay off. He was traded to the Lakers at the trade deadline after just 15 games played in a Cavs uniform.

The Lakers sent offensive-minded guard Jordan Clarkson, and high-flying forward Larry Nance Jr. in return for Thomas’s expiring contract and Channing Frye. The Lakers also received Cleveland’s 2018 first-round protected pick–landing at No. 25.

With Thomas set to become a free agent this upcoming summer, the Lakers will have even more cap space as they hope to acquire one of their dream free agents and get back into playoff contention.

This is not the first time Thomas has made waves this offseason. He also joked around with Frye about where their travel suits were during the Cavs current postseason run, posting a group photo with his former team before Game 1 of the NBA Finals. He also reached out to Demarcus Cousins about teaming up next year.
