Recent Lakers rumors are that they had a second workout with Arizona guard Allonzo Trier. Could he be on their radar in the NBA Draft?

With the NBA Draft nearly here, there have been plenty of Lakers rumors about who the Lakers are going after. Just recently, the Lakers have reportedly acquired the 39th overall pick from the Philadelphia 76ers.

By making this move, it has resulted in a lot of speculation for what might be next for the Lakers. With a first round pick and now two second-round picks, the Lakers might be preparing to make a move.

However, Ohm Youngmisuk recently reported that the Lakers had a second workout with Arizona guard Allonzo Trier. Apparently, the second workout went quite well.

In three seasons at Arizona, Trier was one of the top players on his team and one of the top players in the Pac-12. The Lakers have done a very nice job finding talent in the NBA in recent years, and Trier is a player that has success in multiple years at college.

Last season, Trier averaged 18.1 points, 3.2 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game. As a talented scorer for Arizona, Trier was able to shoot 38 percent from three-point range last season, and shot 37.8 percent from deep in his college career.

Shooting is certainly something that the Lakers would like to address this offseason and Trier would help in that area. While Trier appeared like he was heading toward being undrafted, his stock has been going up in recent days.

Strong workouts and good stats in college will certainly help get a player drafted, and that looks to be the case with Trier. With the Lakers adding a second pick in round two, they could be eyeing Trier after working him out for a second time. While we will have to wait and see what happens during the draft, Trier has certainly become a name to keep an eye on for the Lakers.
