Recent Lakers rumors have been about who they will be targeting in the NBA Draft. Could Mo Wagner be an option for them.

With the NBA Draft just hours away, there have been plenty of Lakers rumors about who the team will be selecting. Just recently, the Lakers were able to add another draft pick into their arsenal after a trade with the Philadelphia 76ers.

After the trade, the Lakers now have three picks in the draft and will have some nice options at their disposal. While these picks might be used as assets to try and make a big deal, the Lakers also might be looking to just add some more young talent to their team.

Since the Lakers now have two picks in the second round, they will have the potential to add two of the many players that they have worked out. The Lakers have been very diligent this offseason with working out many players, and one of them was Moritz Wagner of Michigan.

According to Ohm Youngmisuk, the Lakers could be targeting Wagner with one of their picks.

Wagner is certainly an appealing prospect coming out of Michigan, as he is an athletic big that can shoot the ball from beyond the arc. Last season, Wagner shot 39.4 percent from three-point range, while averaging 4.1 attempts per game.

In addition to be a good shooter, Wagner also was a solid rebounder for Michigan. As the NBA continues to change into a shooting league, Wagner should be able to transition nicely. While Wagner does have some weaknesses on the defensive end of the court, he should be able to help right away on the offensive end.

With three picks now, the Lakers might be potentially using one on Wagner. Since Brook Lopez is a free agent, the Lakers might have a need for a big man with him possibly not returning. Getting a shooting big like Wagner would be a solid replacement.
