Recent Lakers rumors are that Los Angeles will not be inviting LiAngelo Ball to their summer league team.

The 2018 NBA Draft has come and gone with plenty of Lakers rumors and a lot of college prospects have heard their name called and have walked across the stage to shake NBA Commissioner Adam Silver’s hand.

Unfortunately for the Ball Family, Liangelo’s name was not one the 60 names called at Barclay’s Center.

From the moment Ball was pulled out of UCLA by his father after a shoplifting incident in china, many scouts and insiders were skeptical on his chances of making an NBA roster.

After a couple of Pre-draft workouts with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden state Warriors along with an invite to the IMG Pro Basketball Combine, the chances of Ball being drafted had not elevated with any of his performances in these workouts.

However, the middle Ball child was still optimistic on getting to the NBA whether he was drafted or not. LiAngelo was open to the idea of exploring all options of getting into the league whether it was through Summer League or the G-League.

However, any hopes of making it onto the Lakers Summer League Team have been apparently terminated as ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne has reported that the Lakers have no interest in signing Liangelo to their Summer League Team.

This comes after the day that saw Lavar Ball’s Junior Basketball Association tip off its inaugural season and despite what many people have said, Lavar Ball still has faith that all three of his boys will one day play for the same team in the NBA.

I’m interested to see what is going to happen next for LiAngelo Ball. The day after the draft is usually when undrafted player link up with NBA teams through either two-way contracts or Summer League invites.

As of this posting LiAngelo Ball has not gotten an invite from any NBA team. I guess we will find out in the next few days whether or not Ball will catch the attention of an NBA Franchise willing to give him an opportunity.
