The Los Angeles Lakers have been linked to Kawhi Leonard plenty this offseason in trades. Here are three reasons why they shouldn’t trade for him.

One of the biggest names in rumors this offseason for the Los Angeles Lakers has been Kawhi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs. It has been a very busy offseason for the Lakers. To start out free agency, the Lakers were able to make a big splash.

To kick off their offseason, the Lakers were able to sign LeBron James to a four-year deal. Getting James gives the Lakers the superstar that they sought to start the offseason. While many thought that James wanted another star to come to Los Angeles first, he decided to sign with them even though there wasn’t another All-Star in place.

With James in town, expectations are now very high for the Lakers. Even though the Lakers did sign James, the Western Conference is still extremely difficult and winning the West will be no easy task for James.

Even though they landed their star in James, the Lakers have still been linked to Kawhi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs. There was a belief that the Lakers would have to trade for Leonard in order to lock James in. However, that turned out not to be the case.

While they have their star, the Lakers would still love to add Leonard. Pairing James and a healthy Leonard would give the Lakers one of the top duos in the NBA. However, here are three reasons why the Lakers shouldn’t trade for Leonard as of now.
