Here are three reasons why Los Angeles Lakers guard Josh Hart can win the Most Improved Player Award next season.

It has been a very busy and exciting offseason for the Los Angeles Lakers. The addition of LeBron James has caused a lot of optimism in Los Angeles, and the team will be anxious to snap their playoff drought.

With the Lakers improving, they will have a few players that could be in the running for some awards this season. One of those players is Josh Hart. The Lakers selected Hart with the 30th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft after a great career at Villanova. Hart might have been a bit forgotten with the buzz that surrounded Lonzo Ball, but he is certainly part of the young core moving forward.

Hart was able to accomplish a lot in college, and his NBA career got off to a good start last season. As a rookie, Hart averaged 7.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 23.2 minutes per game. However, Hart has shown a lot of potential after the All-Star break, as he had a great second half of the season and was the MVP of the Las Vegas Summer League.

Since Hart’s stats weren’t great as a rookie like Kyle Kuzma’s were in his rookie season, he has a chance to be considered for the Most Improved Player Award. As a very hard worker, Hart’s game is certainly improving, and he could be in the mix for the award next season.
