The odds have been released for 2018-19 NBA MVP. What are the odds for Los Angeles Lakers superstar, LeBron James?

This offseason, the Los Angeles Lakers were able to make a big splash with the signing of LeBron James. Adding James has instantly changed the direction of the Lakers, and they should be a playoff team this coming season.

For James, he is coming off one of the best seasons of his career at the age of 33. James was able to lead a Cavaliers team to the NBA Finals despite not being the most talented bunch. In the regular season, James averaged 27.5 points, 9.1 assists, and 8.6 rebounds per game.

Seeing James nearly average a triple-double, while playing in all 82 games is extremely impressive and an indication that he isn’t slowing down at all. At his age, some players begin to slip, however, James looks like he is getting better.

Despite the great season from James, he was not the MVP of the league, as those honors went to James Harden of the Houston Rockets. Even though Harden had a great season, James was certainly more valuable to his team than Harden was.

The odds for the 2018-19 MVP were recently released, and it was James coming in with the best odds to win the NBA MVP Award.

Seeing James with the best odds isn’t too surprising. The Lakers are expected to make a big jump this season, and James will be a huge part of that. With no other All-Star on the roster as of now, James should receive a lot of attention for his play with the Lakers.

With a lot of great players in the league, James will certainly have competition. Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans is an emerging superstar, and he will be trying to lead the Pelicans to the playoffs and win his first MVP.

We will have to see how the season shakes out starting in October, but James certainly has a good chance to win MVP. James is a four-time NBA MVP, and a fifth would tie him with Michael Jordan.
