The Los Angeles Lakers season will be long for all Lakers fans, good or bad. Let’s analyze what might be that “good” and “bad” of the 2018-19 season.

There is a little less than two months left in the NBA offseason, and as all of the free agent signings settle down, there isn’t much to be discussed in the NBA world other than the occasional controversial Instagram comment. With that being said, we can continue to look forward to the 2018-19 Los Angeles Lakers season and analyze the newly released schedule.

There are a few notable dates to look forward to involving special events and juicy story lines. Those dates include:

  • October 18th: @ Portland Trail Blazers — First game of the season
  • October 20th: Houston Rockets — First home game of the season
  • November 21th: @ Cleveland Cavaliers — LeBron James’ first game back home in a Lakers uniform
  • December 25th: @ Golden State Warriors — Christmas Day, also first matchup against the Warriors
  • January 2nd: Oklahoma City Thunder — Paul George visits for the first time since spurning the Los Angeles Lakers (some possible “Boos” coming)
  • April 9th: Portland Trail Blazers — Final game

Let’s take a look at some of the key moments for the Lakers during the season, starting with some of the rough stretches they will have to deal with.
