The Los Angeles Lakers have a number of intriguing players on the roster. Here are four that could breakout in 2018-19.

The Los Angeles Lakers were one of the big winners of the NBA offseason. They made the biggest acquisition in free agency, signing LeBron James to a four-year, $154 million contract.

While that garnered all of the headlines and attention, it was arguably not their biggest victory of the offseason. The biggest victory could have been that the organization didn’t have to part with any more of their young core or future assets to land James.

Keeping the young core of Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart and Ivica Zubac intact was a big win for Los Angeles. Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka set out a goal when they took over the front office and they accomplished it this offseason.

With James in town, the Lakers have sped up their rebuild and are in win-now mode. However, by keeping the youngsters together, they can also be competitive in the future. Los Angeles was able to improve their current odds at becoming contenders without mortgaging their entire future.

Los Angeles is hoping for big things from their young players. In addition to James, the Lakers also brought in veterans JaVale McGee, Lance Stephenson, Rajon Rondo and Michael Beasley to help move things along as well.

With James and the other veterans helping to shoulder the pressure, the young players have a chance to really take off and develop. Career seasons could be on the horizon for some of the players, as their offensive production should skyrocket with two more outstanding playmakers on the roster.

Who could be in line for one of those big seasons? These are three Lakers who could breakout during the 2018-19 season.
