Los Angeles Lakers: Best games to watch in the 2018-2019 season
4. Every Lakers-Warriors matchup
Why this matchup is a part of these rankings can be defined by a very catchy DJ Khaled and Justin Bieber song that was released not too long ago.
It’s a clear no-brainer that every single matchup between the Lakers and the Warriors should be circled on your calendar. I really shouldn’t have to get into excessive detail to explain why these games are paramount. It’s pretty simple.
However, if you don’t think you’ll be able to watch all four of these matchups, then at least don’t miss the first and the last one.
The first matchup between these two teams is the highly anticipated Christmas Day game in Oakland. All I want for Christmas is a Lebron dunk similar to that of what he did to the Lakers back in 2013, for those of you who may have forgotten.
The last matchup of the season with the Warriors comes on April 4th, and also is the 4th to last game of the season for the Lakers. Due to the undetermined timetable of DeMarcus Cousins‘ return, this could be the only game the Lakers face the Warriors at full strength.
Doesn’t that suck to think about? Thanks a lot, Boogie. Even if Boogie is back for the February 2nd matchup, that game is in Oakland so I think the best bet would be to tune in for the home game where the fans will drown him in boos so well deserved that even Michael Scott would approve.
Either way, these games are going to be fun. The young Lakers, over the past three seasons, have always given the Warriors trouble with blowouts and highlight dunks, now with Lebron on their side, it’s only going to get that much better.
