1. Kawhi comes home

The new-look Toronto Raptors don’t have to wait long next season before their first matchup against the man who has eliminated them from playoffs each of the last three seasons. Kawhi and the Raptors come to Los Angeles Nov. 4, which is exciting for a couple reasons.

Obviously the main one being, Kawhi playing his only game in LA against the team that was rumored to be at the top of his list for trade destinations earlier this summer. Nothing like wanting to play in Los Angeles and then being traded to Canada!

Imagine if you were working in San Antonio for seven years and an opening to transfer to a job in LA came up and right before you thought it was going to happen, the company transfers you to Canada…How furious would you be??

Now we all know Kawhi doesn’t show anger or any emotion for that matter. But I think it’s safe to say that this won’t be one of those Paul George situations where he falls in love with the city. Even though I don’t doubt that Toronto is a hell of a lot more fun than Oklahoma City. I mean Drake promotes it enough for the whole world to know that the 6 can throw down.

I just don’t see a quiet California-native like Kawhi walking around in the snow and saying “sorry” to every person that he slightly brushes on the shoulder while waiting in line at a Tim Horton’s. No offense, Canada. Not that you take offense much, anyway.

This could go down as the game where Kawhi realizes he can play alongside Lebron and the young guys and we could end up talking about this for years to come. If that’s not enough to get you on the couch to watch, I’ve heard Toronto is very accepting of new fans.
