Draymond Green recently commented about LeBron James’ decision to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Over the past few years, the Golden State Warriors have set the bar in the Western Conference. As the Los Angeles Lakers try to get to that level, they took a big step toward achieving that by signing LeBron James this offseason.

James instantly gives the Lakers the superstar that they needed and brings them a step closer to the Warriors. With the Cavaliers, James was no stranger to seeing the Warriors. For the last four years, James has faced the Warriors in the NBA Finals. Unfortunately for James, the Warriors won three of those four matchups, including two in a row.

Now that James is with the Lakers, he will not be playing the Warriors in the NBA Finals this season. However, if he wishes to make it to his nine straight final, he will almost certainly have to go through them.

Recently, Warriors forward Draymond Green talked about James signing with the Lakers. Here’s what he had to say via Marc Spears of the Undefeated.

"“That is great. He was able to make a decision he wanted to make regardless of whatever anyone thought. To see someone make that kind of decision is always exciting to see.”"

Green and LeBron have certainly had some good battles in the NBA Finals over the past four years, and that rivalry will likely be continuing between James and the Warriors. With the young core of the Lakers, James will be attempting to dethrone the Warriors in the coming years.

Since the Warriors have their surplus of All-Stars in the lineup, defeating them will be a difficult task. However, James is still the best in the NBA in most eyes and always gives his team a chance.

Even though LeBron is in the West now, there is a very good chance that he will be playing the Warriors once again in the playoffs this season. Until proven otherwise, the West still runs through Golden State.
