Recent Lakers rumors are that Andrew Bynum worked out at the UCLA Health Training Center.

With the start of the season getting a bit closer, recent Lakers rumors have been that former center, Andrew Bynum, worked out at the UCLA Health Training Center.

Even though it wasn’t as big of a story as the signing of LeBron James this offseason, the new Lakers practice facility was certainly a big deal. The new facility was certainly needed and it has paid benefits for the team on the court already.

While current Lakers are there frequently, they also allow former players to work out there as well. According to Shams Charania, Andrew Bynum was one of the former players to recently take advantage of that.

Bynum is working on making an NBA comeback, and at 30-years-old, that is still a possibility. Bynum hasn’t played in the NBA since the 2013-14 season, as injuries have always been an issue for the seven-footer.

The Lakers traded Bynum as part of the big four-way trade that landed them Dwight Howard. Even though Bynum was a very good player for the Lakers, he was never able to do much after the trade.

As the NBA has gone away from the traditional big man, Bynum has been showcasing his ability to shoot three-pointers now. When he was in the NBA, Bynum only took nine three-pointers, as it wasn’t part of his game.

With the hope of catching the eye of a team, Bynum is looking to showcase that he can adapt his game to what the NBA has become. It is important to note that this wasn’t an official workout for the Lakers, but they certainly might have taken a look at how Bynum was doing in his workout.

It will be interesting to see if Bynum is able to make a comeback for next season after sitting out the past few years. He certainly looks like he is in good shape and the new three-pointer in his arsenal is certainly appealing for a center.
