Sports Illustrated recently ranked Los Angeles Lakers forward, LeBron James, as the No.1 player in the NBA.

The Los Angeles Lakers were able to change the landscape of the NBA this summer when they signed LeBron James.

James is considered by many to be the best player in NBA right now, and he instantly changes the Lakers franchise. For the past few seasons, the Lakers have been one of the worst teams in the NBA. The transition from life after Kobe Bryant has not been easy for the Lakers, but the future is now bright once again in Los Angeles.

The addition of James should result in the Lakers making the playoffs at the very minimum this season, and advancing in the Western Conference is certainly a possibility.

Recently, Sports Illustrated released their list of the Top 100 players in the NBA. For the sixth straight season, James came in ranked No.1 on their list.

James is certainly deserving of this recognition. Last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers, he was able to play in every regular season game, which is something that is rarely seen in the NBA nowadays.

While playing in every game is not an easy task, James also played at his normal MVP level. In the regular season, James averaged 27.5 points, 9.1 assists, and 8.6 rebounds per game. With a stat line like that James easily could have been the MVP in the league last year.

In the playoffs, James found a way to elevate his play even more for the Cavaliers. On their run to the NBA Finals, James averaged 34.0 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 9.0 assists per game. Even though James is 33-years-old, there is still no slowing him down and he really looks like he is still in his prime.

Even though James might not be bringing in as many MVP’s as he should be, it is nice to see that he is still recognized as the best in the game.
