Larry Nance Jr. recently talked about whether or not LeBron James would be able to lead the Los Angeles to the NBA Finals this year.

The Los Angeles Lakers were able to send shock waves through the NBA when they signed LeBron James this summer. The addition of James instantly made the Lakers a much better team, as he is still the best player in the NBA.

For the last five seasons, the Lakers have not been able to reach the playoffs. As one of the most storied franchises in the NBA, this has been a tough past few years for Lakers fans. However, with James on the roster now, the Lakers should be to snap that drought and be one of the better teams in the Western Conference.

Recently, former Los Angeles Lakers big man, Larry Nance Jr., was asked about if he thought that the Lakers could make the NBA Finals with James this coming season. Here’s what he had to say.

"Nance Jr. exclusively told Express Sport: “They could [get to the Finals].“With LeBron, anything is possible. I think it’ll be a very tough road because arguably three of the best four teams are out west.“You’re going to have to go through Golden State, Houston, Oklahoma City – there’s some really good teams out there. Their work is certainly cut out.”"

Nance certainly knows both the Lakers and LeBron well from his time playing in Los Angeles and Cleveland. Last season, Nance was traded from the Lakers to the Cavaliers, as Cleveland tried to give themselves some more depth on their playoff run.

While James is the best player in the NBA, he will have a very tough road to the NBA Finals. With the Western Conference having both the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets, James and the Lakers could have to go through the two best teams in the NBA from last season in order to reach the NBA Finals.

Even though it is a tough road, Nance believes that it is possible for James and the Lakers. Since Nance has been around both, he should have a good understanding of what the young core of the Lakers and James might be able to accomplish together.
