With the start of the 2018-19 season nearly upon us, here are three goals for Kyle Kuzma of the Los Angeles Lakers this season.
One of the biggest bright spots for the Los Angeles Lakers last season was forward, Kyle Kuzma.
Many fans were very upset when the Lakers decided to trade D’Angelo Russell to the Brooklyn Nets with Timofey Mozgov in order to move Mozgov’s contract. However, the draft pick that the Lakers received with Brook Lopez turned out to be a great one.
With the 27th overall pick, the Lakers drafted Kyle Kuzma, who ended up being one of the best rookies in the NBA. If not for historically great seasons from Ben Simmons and Donovan Mitchell, Kuzma could have been the Rookie of the Year last season.
Even though he didn’t take home those honors, Kuzma proved that he is a key piece for the Lakers moving forward. Right from the start of the season, Kuzma showcased that he was a really polished scorer. Most players coming out of college are not able to score in multiple ways as Kuzma can, and that is really exciting for what’s to come. For a rookie, being able to average over 15 points per game, and doing so efficiently is a rare thing to see.
While Kuzma certainly had a great rookie season, there are still things that he can work on to become a better player. As he heads into his second season, here are three goals for Kuzma in the 2018-19 season.
