It is still so hard to believe, but the reality we are in has Lebron James as a proud member of the Los Angeles, Lakers. James made the Lakers his third different organization since he entered the league in 2003.
Well, as soon as Lebron signed, the speculation began to swirl as to why he would leave a team that just went to the NBA finals, to join a young Lakers team with roster flexibility, but generally unproven with a bevy of question marks.
Coming to Los Angeles was just a move to expand his off the court brand since he will never beat the Golden State Warriors right? So, why tarnish his NBA Finals record any more than he has?
All signs point to Lebron “Being in it for the long haul“ with the Lakers organization. We could speculate for days on different scenarios or motivators for him, but everything we have to go on tells us he plans to bring banner number seventeen to Tinsel town.
Aside from playing with his son one day in the NBA, bringing a championship banner to Cleveland will go down as the most significant accomplishment attached to Lebron when it’s all said and done.
