The time has come, Los Angeles Lakers fans. The 2018-19 NBA season is officially here. After an exciting offseason, the purple and gold will begin their quest of snapping their five-year playoff drought. There is always a lot of attention given to the Lakers, but that will reach a new level with LeBron James in town.

The Lakers and James agreed to a four-year, $154 million deal to move their rebuild forward. The organization is hopeful that James, and the other new additions, will help the team improve upon their record for the third time in three tries under Luke Walton.

Last season, the Lakers finished 35-47, a nine-game improvement from the previous season. Things are shaping up for another improvement in the 2018-19 season as well. With some seasoned veterans brought in to help the young core, the new look roster has a solid mix of players.

Los Angeles is hopeful that the addition of these veterans can help take the younger players to the next level. That will be one of the many storylines to follow this season, as there are a few questions facing the Lakers.

What other questions will the team have to answer this upcoming season? What is the best and worst case scenario for the organization? We break it all down here in our Lakers preview for the 2018-19 NBA season.
