The Los Angeles Lakers are hosting the Houston Rockets in their home opener. Here are three things to watch for in the game!

The Los Angeles Lakers traveling circus has officially begun! Didn’t we just have a conversation about a game not 24 hours ago? Well, when LeBron James is on your team, the season is a different experience for all persons involved.

The Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Portland Trailblazers 128-119 for their 16th straight time on Thursday night. LeBron James played a typical LeBron James game (more on that later) scoring 26 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and dishing out six assists.

Josh Hart was impressive scoring 20 points off the bench. There were a ton of issues that reared its ugly head in the game.

It was laid out right here…It ain’t pretty!

With this loss, LeBron James has now gone 0-4 playing the first game for his new teams…but for LeBron and the Lakers, life in the NBA will be a lot more difficult as they open up their home schedule against the Houston Rockets led by Chris Paul and James Harden.

Let’s call this the “Banana Boat” game considering three members of the crew will be playing…LeBron James, Chris Paul and the Rockets newest acquisition Carmelo Anthony. The Lakers have their work cut out for them tonight because…

One…the Rockets were possibly a Chris Paul hamstring pull from going to the Finals last year and…

Two…they got ran off the floor by the New Orleans Pelicans in their opening night game. It was embarrassing and a serious beatdown. Look for the Rockets to be looking for some serious redemption.

Well before we get started on this game here, let’s take it back one more time to Thursday to what LeBron James said about the team chemistry.

"“Um, not as fast as you guys think it’s going to happen,” James said when asked how long it will take for the Lakers’ chemistry to develop. “I always kind of compare it to like instant oatmeal. It is not that fast. It takes a while to get to where you can close your eyes and know exactly where your guys are.”"

Well, if the Lakers are instant oatmeal, meet the Rockets they are almost like a free continental breakfast buffet. They have a little bit of everything and it’s spread out for everyone to enjoy.

Here’s what the Lakers fans need to look for tonight…
