With the season officially here, it’s time to think about some bold predictions for what the Los Angeles Lakers will accomplish this year.

The Los Angeles Lakers added great veteran pieces to the team this summer and we will likely see the team make an epic grand entrance back into the playoffs this year.

JaVale McGee brings with him recent championships with the Golden State Warriors and the championship mentality that will be perfect for the young core and rookies to be around.

While these past few years have been rough in Laker Land, something the Lakers seem to often struggle with is closing out games when they have the lead. Going into the 4th quarter, they’ll have the lead and suddenly it disappears and they have a complete breakdown and can’t close the game out.

This year is hopefully the year they solve this issue. We have seen a lot of promising improvements here and there in the form of a young core that continues to blossom.

We got to see Josh Hart shine in Summer League. Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma both quietly worked on their game. Lonzo Ball, while in recovery mode, gained a ton of muscle. Ivica Zubac played for Croatia in the 2019 FIBA World Cup qualifiers and also put on muscle, hoping to improve. They’ve all put in the work, now it’s time to see them gel with the new additions and the King.

Having LeBron James on your team really helps your chances to at least make the playoffs, but can they go all the way? Could the Lakers stun everyone and make an incredible run to the finals? Here are some bold predictions for the Lakers 2018-2019 NBA season.
