Key Player Grades

SF. Los Angeles Lakers. LEBRON JAMES. A. LeBron James finally made his “real” home debut. The best player in the world finished the night with a triple-double – 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists – while shooting 58.8 percent from the floor. James also led by example by being active on the defensive end and finishing the night with three steals.
More importantly, though, LeBron orchestrated a Showtime-filled fourth-quarter comeback for the Lakers to win their first home game. Everything was great for LeBron except his 3-point shooting – which kept him from an A+, but that will come with time.

A+. Lonzo Ball played the most important role for the Lakers on Thursday. Not only was Zo the primary playmaker on offense, but he was also given the defensive assignment of Jamal Murray. To say the least, Ball did not disappoint.
Lonzo finished the night with 12 points, six rebounds, and eight assists on 50 percent shooting from the floor and 40 percent from deep. The best part of his night, however, came on the defensive end, where he had five steals and held Murray to only one 3-point make. An all-around outstanding performance from Lonzo.
. PG.
