With a sizable hole in their big man rotation, the Los Angeles Lakers should be active on the trade market for a serviceable big man.

The Los Angeles Lakers depth issues at the center position have been talked about to death already. At this point, the conversation has to shift to what the Lakers will do about it.

Players like Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson, Michael Beasley and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope represent the Laker’s most enticing trade chips, as everyone else on the roster is viewed as a young prospect, core player, or LeBron James. All four are also on one-year contracts.

However, the Lakers would have to wait until December 15th to make a move, as that is the earliest possible date the aforementioned players are eligible to be traded.

The Lakers don’t need to swing for the fences when it comes to acquiring a big man. They just need someone to help soak up some big man minutes alongside JaVale McGee, who is at most, a 20-25 minutes a night kind of player. Johnathan Williams has emerged, but more help could be needed.

With Ivica Zubac not cracking the rotation and Moritz Wagner working his way back from injury, there aren’t any other options on the roster. Let’s take a look at five potential trade targets the Lakers should target to bolster their big man rotation.
