2. Man, Defense is Very Contagious When Everyone is Committed!

Well, I can say this for the first time this season…EVERYBODY played defense against the Kings Saturday night. This is the way the Lakers have to play when the shots aren’t falling. Something that the Lakers were not doing.

Check out the defense Kyle Kuzma played here…

Kyle played Marvin Bagley III very tight and disrupted the play early. When Fox threw the bad pass…Kuz jumped the passing lane and threw down the nasty dunk.

How about another Kyle Kuzma highlight?

Kuz knocks away the ball and gets the fast break started again! The ball finds it’s way to Rondo’s hands and the Lakers are on a 4-on-1 fast break. Rajon Rondo does what he’s supposed to do, reward the man that started it all gives it back to Kuz for the dunk.

How many points did Kyle Kuzma score? Just 11 points, but the defense that he played in this game played a huge part in the Lakers winning the game last night.

Now about this Josh Hart dude…

The man can guard BIG MEN IN THE POST! He made Marvin Bagley III look like a rookie in this play here. Notice how he uses his low center of gravity to bother the rookie’s shot! Press play!

The Lakers have shown that they have the ability to play team defense. It needs to continue for the success of the Lakers going forward.

How about the Kings’ guards? Buddy Hield shot 3-of-17 from the field for the game. De’Aaron Fox was hot in the first half scoring 17 points. The Lakers locked him up in the second half. The Lakers average 119 points allowed a game this season. Last night 86. Nuff said…point made…final lesson!
