1. Lonzo Ball is not Steph Curry…but he had better find a role fast!

Nothing starts an argument quicker than a discussion on who needs to be on the floor running the point for the Los Angeles Lakers, trust me…

But this is a quandary that needs to be dealt with. Lonzo Ball had three airballs last night and they were not pretty. But the man can do this

He can throw a halfcourt alley-oop to LeBron James with  DeAaron Fox clueless to what is going on…

He can make a perfect touch pass to JaVale McGee for a dunk.

But four points and four assists on 2-of-10 shooting is going to keep this quarterback controversy going all season long. Lonzo Ball is starting, but he is not finishing games, and to be honest, he doesn’t deserve to at this point.

Lonzo Ball needs to be assertive and aggressive when he is on the floor. His demeanor is cool on the floor and that’s great but he needs to be able to distance his play from Rajon Rondo to grab the keys to the franchise as the point guard.

Is this a case of Ball losing confidence? I hope not, because this dude can play the game of basketball. Can he shot the ball? Not really, but he’s light years ahead of Markelle Fultz who’s shot is a daily report on social media.

However, if this situation lingers and his shooting struggles get in his head, we may be getting those same shooting reports on the west coast…Ya dig?

The Los Angeles Lakers have started their long journey through the NBA season. Lake Show Life will be there every step of the way. Continue to check in for Lakers news, previews and reviews.
