Los Angeles Lakers: Lonzo Ball listed as questionable against Pacers

The Los Angeles Lakers will be facing the Indiana Pacers on Thursday. Point guard, Lonzo Ball, is listed as questionable for the game.

Tuesday night was not a good one for the Los Angeles Lakers. Not only were they embarrassed by the Denver Nuggets, but they saw their point guard, Lonzo Ball, suffer a sprained ankle.

Just before halftime, Ball fell over another player and went down in noticeable pain. After smacking the floor, Ball asked to be taken out just before the half. While Ball did leave early, he did start the second half for the Lakers.

However, Ball had a noticeable limp and didn’t last long in the second half. Possibly due to the score becoming lopsided, the Lakers pulled out Ball for the rest of the game. While it was good to see that Ball came back out against the Nuggets, he is listed as questionable for the Lakers’ upcoming game against the Indiana Pacers.

With Rajon Rondo still out, Ball has been playing a lot of minutes at the point guard position. So far, he has done well with the increased court time, and missing time now would not be ideal. Not having Ball and Rondo would leave the Lakers very thin at point guard and result in some interesting lineups.

Since Ball was able to come back out after halftime, it could be an indication that he might be alright to play on Thursday. With the Lakers losing two straight games to the Magic and the Nuggets, they could really use a win.

If Ball is unable to go, we would likely see more of Brandon Ingram at point guard with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Josh Hart, and Lance Stephenson getting some more minutes. With a quick turnaround for the Lakers, we should know somewhat early on Thursday what his status will be for the game against the Pacers.
