Recent Lakers rumors are that Trevor Ariza has been reportedly traded to the Washington Wizards.

There have been a ton of Lakers rumors the past few days about Trevor Ariza, and it looks like they will finally be coming to an end.

On Friday night, there was reportedly a three-team deal in place that was going to be sending Ariza to the Washington Wizards. However, there was a confusion in the whether it was going to be MarShon Brooks or Dillon Brooks going back to Phoenix as part of the deal.

Despite it looking like a deal was done, this was a major hiccup in the deal, and it died shortly after. However, it now appears as Ariza will indeed be going to the Washington Wizards according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Ariza going to the Wizards is a move that Washington believes will help improve a team that has disappointed over the years. With a great backcourt of John Wall and Bradley Beal, the Wizards have always seemed to be a team that has underperformed in a weak Eastern Conference. Now, they will be a getting a solid two-way player with championship experience, who will hopefully be able to help the Wizards reach their potential.

For the Suns, they will indeed be getting the point guard they desired in Austin Rivers, and Kelly Oubre will also be going to Phoenix instead of being sent elsewhere like what it appeared in the three-team deal last night.

Now that Ariza will be heading to Washington, this likely means that the Lakers will be going back to the drawing board for potential trades. The owner of the Suns didn’t want to trade Ariza to the Lakers, as possibly the positive impact that Chander has had in Los Angeles made him unwillingly to deal.

For the Lakers, getting Ariza certainly would have been a nice addition. However, the Lakers still are playing very good basketball of late. As we get closer to the trade deadline, there will surely be more Lakers rumors about potential players coming to Los Angeles.
