As the Los Angeles Lakers continue their road trip, they lost their second straight game and the third out of four games on the road trip.
Coming into Brooklyn, the Lakers were hoping that they would be able to head back home with a split on the road trip. However, an improving Nets team had other plans. This game was pretty close throughout, and with the game up for grabs, it was the Nets who were able to make the plays necessary to come out with a win.
This was a disappointing loss for the Lakers after the poor showing against the Washington Wizards. The Lakers certainly played a better game than against the Wizards, but a losing record on the road trip isn’t great in the very competitive Western Conference.
While the Lakers did fall to the Nets, help is going to be on the way soon. Getting Brandon Ingram and Rajon Rondo back soon will be a welcomed sight, as they can certainly use to of their key players back.
