With plenty of rumors surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers, here are three reasons why they should not trade Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

With the season rolling on for the Los Angeles Lakers, there have been plenty of rumors surrounding the team. After a better start than expected, there have been a good amount of rumors about how the team can improve and who might be on the move. With a lot of cap space and some valuable assets, the Lakers are going to be linked to most players that are rumored to be available.

One of the main players that have been mentioned in trade rumors has been Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. The Lakers signed KCP last season to a lucrative one-year deal. Despite a good season, KCP never got the long-term deal that he sought after one year with the Lakers this offseason. The Lakers once again brought back KCP on a one-year deal, as they keep their cap flexibility for next summer.

Despite a good year last year with the Lakers, KCP hasn’t had an easy go of it this season. With the emergence of Josh Hart, KCP has been mostly a bench player this season, and the adjustment might not have been that easy.

While he is off to a slow start this season, he is a player that is capable of helping this Lakers team down the stretch. Even though there have been a lot of rumors surrounding KCP, here are three reasons why they should not trade him.
