With 2019 finally upon us, here are three things that we would like to see happen for the Los Angeles Lakers.

2018 was certainly a great year for the Los Angeles Lakers, and that hope is that 2019 will be even better. In 2018, the Lakers saw their young core develop with players like Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, and Josh Hart all bring hope to the fanbase.

Even though the Lakers’ record wasn’t great in the 2017-18 season, they were an exciting team to watch. With a fast pace and young talent, it was one some of the best basketball that we have seen from Los Angeles in a long time.

During the summer, the Lakers were able to make a huge splash by signing LeBron James. Considering that they didn’t have a second All-Star already in place, many thought that signing James would be a long shot. However, the Lakers were able to get the deal done, and they now have one of the best players in the league on their team.

The signing of James is really what made 2018 a great year for the Lakers. Landing a superstar has once again made the Lakers a relevant team in the Western Conference, and they should be snapping their playoff drought with James.

While 2018 was certainly a good year for the franchise, the work in Los Angeles still isn’t done. Just because the Lakers have added James doesn’t mean that anything will be given to them in 2019. With the New Year here for everyone, here are three things we want to see for the Lakers in 2019.
