The Los Angeles Lakers were able to get a much-needed win on Monday against the Dallas Mavericks. Here were three players who stood out.

Coming into Monday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks, the Los Angeles Lakers were in desperate need for a win. Since Christmas, the injuries have been too much for the Lakers to overcome, as missing LeBron James and Rajon Rondo clearly crippled the team.

Losing multiple key players for any team is not easy, and the Lakers had a real issue closing out games and scoring. Without James, the Lakers didn’t have their closer down the stretch, which likely cost them a few wins. If James were healthy in a few of the losses, the Lakers likely would have come away with a couple of wins.

In addition to being without James and Rondo, the Lakers were also missing Kyle Kuzma for a few games. Without Kuzma, the Lakers suffered a bad loss to the New York Knicks and then were blown out by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Luckily, the Lakers were able to get Kuzma back in the lineup, but he was far from 100 percent. In his return, Kuzma didn’t perform very well, as he shot 4-for-20 from the field. However, it was good to see him back on the court after a two-game absence. Hopefully, the back continues to get better for Kuzma, as he was able to log 37 minutes in the win.

With the losing streak finally snapped, here were three players who stood out in the much-need win against the Mavericks.
