Josh Hart

It has not been an easy stretch for Josh Hart as of late. As a normally good shooter, he has struggled to find his shot. However, one of the great things about Hart is that he does so much more than just shoot three-pointers. In the win over the Mavericks, Hart once again struggled from deep, as he went 1-for-5, however, he made up for that with some fantastic defense on Luka Donic.

Hart took on the challenge of guarding one of the best young players in the league. While Donic did score 27 points, nothing was easy for him, as he shot below 50 percent from the field. While great defense doesn’t always show up in the box score, Hart’s did, as he totaled 5 steals in the game.

Overall, Hart was able to total 14 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists in 44 minutes. Considering he nearly played the entire game, Hart really brought a lot of energy to the Lakers. In a game that the Lakers certainly needed, Hart was able to perform very well on both ends of the court. Even though he might be in a shooting slump, a double-double with great defense is welcomed on every night.
