Recent Lakers rumors are that the Phoenix Suns might be interested in Lonzo Ball.

With the NBA Trade Deadline only being a week away, there has been plenty of Lakers rumors the past few days. While most of the rumors have been surrounding Anthony Davis, there have been some involving other players.

Since reports came out about who the Lakers would be willing to part with to get Davis, surely other teams around the league are interested in those players. One of the players that have been mentioned in the Davis rumors has been Lonzo Ball.

To no surprise, it is going to take a lot for the Lakers to get Davis in a potential deal, and that means moving some valuable assets. With Lonzo obviously be rumored, the Phoenix Suns have reportedly expressed an interest in Ball.

Ball and the Suns certainly makes sense on paper. As a young guard, Ball certainly wants to be the starter if he is indeed dealt. For the Suns, point guard is a glaring weakness for them as of now.

While the Suns might be interested in Ball, it would likely be in a three-team scenario. The Lakers could very well look to include a team like the Suns in a deal with the Pelicans to have Phoenix send assets to the Pelicans with Ball going to Phoenix.

The Suns have a lot of young players that the Pelicans might desire in a potential trade, and Ball should have good value as the second overall pick from last season. Right now, Ball is still out with an injury, but for a team like the Suns who aren’t looking to win games right now anyway, that should be a non-factor.

With initial trades from the Lakers being shot down by the Pelicans, Los Angeles might have to get creative and add a third team. As a team with cap space and young assets, the Suns could certainly be a team that helps facilitate a trade.
