Recent Lakers rumors are that they are reportedly one of four teams that Anthony Davis would sign with long-term.

There have been plenty of Lakers rumors over the past week, as Anthony Davis has been linked to the team. As one of the top players in the league, Davis can be a player that changes the franchise for the next decade.

Davis is currently under contract through next season, but any team that trades for him will certainly want him to be in the long-term picture. Considering the price it is going to cost to get Davis, having him for just a year and a half wouldn’t be worth it.

Recently, it was reported where Davis would sign long-term if he was traded by the Pelicans.

Davis’ list was pretty short, as only four teams were on it. To the surprise of nobody, the Lakers made the list. However, the other three teams were rather interesting. After the Lakers, the Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, and New York Knicks were on his list of places he would sign long-term.

Of the four teams, seeing the Knicks on the list was likely the most shocking. While the Knicks will have cap space this offseason, there isn’t a whole lot in place as of now for them. Obviously Davis and another superstar would change that, but the Knicks making a trade for Davis seems very unlikely now with Porzingis gone.

For the Lakers, they have to feel good about their chances to land Davis in a trade. With a lot of assets and the Celtics not being a threat as of now, the Lakers arguably have the best assets to give the Pelicans.
