1. Kyle Kuzma‘s 3 with 20 Seconds Left

This was a crazy moment when you look back at it. Here is the play and this video will start right when Lebron drives. Now watch as right after he kicks it out to Rondo he fades to the back corner and is wide open.

As soon as Ingram gets the ball you can see Lebron’s hands in the air practically screaming for it. Ingram passes to Kuzma who can definitely see Lebron in the corner but decides to say screw it and shoot it himself and as we know he drains it.

For Kuzma to take this shot, after the last week or so he has had, knowing his name has been shopped around more than a weekend one Coachella ticket, knowing that make or miss he still might be traded come the offseason regardless of being one of the top players of his draft class and absolute fan favorite in LA, is absolutely amazing.

I do believe he may have been in a “screw it I might be traded anyway” mindset the second he got the ball but still. How many second year players can you think of that would have ignored a wide open Lebron in the corner with the game on the line on the road to the biggest rival of your franchise? Not many. Confidence wise, this is going to do wonders for not just Kuzma, but Lebron’s confidence in Kuzma.

Kyle was probably a little upset about the fact that he was going to be traded and he has a right to be. He has done nothing but been amazing for us and I was going to be a little worried about how he was going to react to not being traded and having to play and compete for the rest of the year. However, I fully believe this is a moment that Kuzma will take humbly and go on to be a great contributor as the Lakers look to make their playoff push.
