4. Kyrie Irving – Player option for 2019-20

Much has been made of the recent apology Kyrie offered to LeBron for demanding to be traded when they were teammates in Cleveland. Whether that means he desires to play alongside LBJ again is open to speculation.

Ainge insists that Irving will definitely re-sign with Boston this summer. At first Kyrie publicly concurred, but his more recent statements indicate he may be open for a change of teams. The Knicks are again a rumored destination, especially since he grew up across the Hudson River in New Jersey.

There will be no shortage of suitors if Irving does indeed test the free-agent waters. The Lakers don’t seem like one of his top prospective destinations, but stranger things have happened.

Prediction: Kyrie will probably stay in Boston. If he does leave, the Knicks or another Eastern Conference team is his likely destination.
