Los Angeles Lakers: Predicting where top stars will land this summer

6. Jimmy Butler – Player option for 2019-20
He was unhappy in Minneapolis, which then led to him traded him to the 76ers. Now he is part of what is probably the best starting lineup in the Eastern Conference and second-best to the Warriors in the NBA.
It’s difficult to tell just how happy Butler is now. When he’s healthy and ready to play, he’s one of the best two-way players in the league. If the Sixers do well in this year’s playoffs, the chances are he’ll stay there. But Butler marches to his own beat, so anything is possible.
There haven’t been any indications that he has interest in joining LeBron on the Lakers. But if he does become a free agent, expect Magic to at least kick the tires.
Prediction: Butler is just about as hard to predict as Leonard. Chances are he likes it enough to stay in Philly.
