Here are five takeaways for the Los Angeles Lakers in the loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.

This report will be different Los Angeles Lakers fans. Normally post game reports start with a summary and dive into players that affected the game positively or negatively. The difference here is there are two major stories going on with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The first story is the Lakers lost again and dropped to 11th in the Western Conference standings behind the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Los Angeles Clippers are now in the 7th slot passing the San Antonio Spurs.

The second story…

LeBron James is imploding folks. The walls are closing in and he knows he is in a position that he can’t get himself out of. The Lakers lost again to the Memphis Grizzlies last night and dropped to 11th in the Western Conference standings. With a Minnesota Timberwolves win over the Sacramento Kings, they leapfrogged the Lakers thanks to the tiebreaker they obtained by winning the season series.

That’s not the story. The story is LeBron James, who is seeming losing his cool after every embarrassing loss the Lakers tally on their way down the standings.

Remember back early in the year, when LeBron James told Yahoo! Sports’, Chris Haynes that he almost cracked?

Then he had that “Playoff Activation” mode statement with a love affair with being uncomfortable that is making the rounds as a comedy act around sports media these days.

This sounded really nice after the Lakers came back from a 19-point lead in the second half to beat the Houston Rockets. Then the bottom fell out with the loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Then, LeBron James may have built a wall that Donald Trump himself would be proud of in the Lakers locker room with these quotes questioning certain players sense of urgency.

I have no clue about this comfort zone thing at this and the Lakers are starting to play like they have no clue either. After the loss to Memphis, LeBron James for the lack of a better term flipped.
