The Los Angeles Lakers will reportedly be limited LeBron James’ workload. Here are three reasons why this is the right move.

After a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers the other night, all hopes of making the playoffs seemed to die for the Los Angeles Lakers. In the first year of the LeBron James era, it has ended in failure for the Lakers this season.

Adding one of the top players in the league looked like it would be enough for the Lakers to end their playoff drought this season, but that was not the case. With a ton of injuries and some chemistry issues, the Lakers fell short of expectations this season.

Now, the Lakers will be looking toward the offseason, as they are still in a strong position to be a good team next year. While this season might feel like a big failure, the Lakers were still really eyeing the future and not just this one season.

With the playoff hopes dying, the Lakers will now be reportedly limiting the minutes of LeBron.

After just passing Michael Jordan on the all-time scoring list, resting the veteran James makes a lot of sense for the Lakers. With this season being over, the Lakers have to look toward the future, and LeBron is still a big part of that.

The decision for James to have his workload limited for the rest of the season is certainly a big decision for the franchise. However, here are three reasons why this is the right move.
