South Bay Lakers point guard Scott Machado deserves a contract with the Los Angeles Lakers and these are three reasons why.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ season is officially in the toilet. As a result, the Lakers should give fans a great experience and let them enjoy the play of South Bay Lakers point guard Scott Machado.

Lakers two-way players Alex Caruso and Johnathan Williams, along with Moritz Wagner, have been making splashes on the Lakers with comeback runs and exciting plays as they begin to capture the fans’ hearts and the nation’s attention.

Machado has been their teammate, feeding them the ball to help each become a better player and help put his team in a situation to pull off a win. Machado guides them on the court and makes unreal passes to help them score and get bet better.

He shows leadership by instilling in his teammates his desire to win and be special. Scott takes losses hard, really hard, as he hates to lose. And even if this season has not been a winning season at 17-27, there have been plenty of bright spots and fans have enjoyed Machado’s playmaking abilities and his big smile.

The South Bay Lakers have been working hard to get to the NBA. They make low salaries and watch young, drafted players get more of a chance than them. A lot of G League players are veteran international players who never gave up on their dreams to make it in America.

They have the same dreams as all professional players have and it becomes the ultimate goal. Every time they play they feel they need to prove themselves, they have to keep the faith in themselves and a lot of times convince their family and friends that not giving up on their dream is realistic.

Machado falls into that category. Here are three reasons why we think the Lakers should sign Machado for the rest of the season.
