The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a big blow when Lonzo Ball went down with an ankle injury. However, with his season over, Ball is motivated to have a good summer.

With the season all but over for the Los Angeles Lakers, the focus will be turning to next season for the franchise. While there are still games left to play and a chance for players to improve, the Lakers will be looking toward being a better team next season.

One of the potential players that will be an important part of the team next is Lonzo Ball. In his first two seasons with the Lakers, Ball has shown the potential to be a very good player in the league, but injuries have been a big issue for the young guard.

In his rookie season, Ball played in just 52 games, as he missed time with various injuries. This season, Ball will only be playing in 47 games, as he was shut down for the season with an ankle injury. Despite injuries being a problem, Ball is motivated to have a strong summer and come back better next season.

Last summer, Ball was recovering from a knee operation, which cost him most of the summer. However, while he is still recovering from the ankle injury suffered this season, that shouldn’t affect his summer workouts.

Ball is clearly a key part of this Lakers team, as the Lakers did not do all that well with him off the court. On the defensive side of the floor, Ball is one of the best defenders at point guard in the league, and certainly a top defender on the team.

On the offensive side of the floor, Ball is an excellent floor general, as he sets the pace well and also gets his teammates in positions to succeed. At just 21-years-old, Ball is still improving as a basketball player. Hopefully, a healthy summer will help him improve his shooting, which is the glaring weakness in his game.

Despite some rumors about his future with the team, Ball is motivated to get better for next season.
